Gimp definitely is the only free software to replace the pricey photoshop. As you see, GIMP designing their layout exactly look like photoshop, and you will not have hard time to use gimp if you already know how to use photoshop. Furthermore Gimp provides multi level layout skin control, that i feel editing photos is just as easy as click and drag. The last things is GIMP is free!!

GIMP Absolutely, although I have to say I find the Windoze ver a bit "clunky" compared to the Linux version, probably more to do with my shitty small monitor than anything else.

It is very comparable to PhotoShop is some senses, you wont find it difficult to use since you are accustomed to PS, the layout and tools are similiar, lots of support for plugging etc.

And did I mention it is "free", unless you are a professional who needs some particular PS feature, or ultra precise colour matching tools, GIMP will probably let you do all the work you need to do, and save you a lot of money.

Gimp isn't bad, but I prefer AdobePhotoshop. I use many years.
