Does stumbling & Digging & other socializing activities like these really help us to get good targeted traffic???

yes it will....
i have seen in Awstats that it has brought some good amount of visitors....
But a few digg's or stumbles will not affect anything IMO

Yes it does help in Search Engine Optimization and i prefer doing so.

I saw in Awstats that it brought a certain good quantity of visitors.
But some digg's or stumblings will not affect anything OMI.

If you get a lot of stumbles or diggs it will appear on top list, and then a lot o fpeople will visit it. But to get that many is hard. You need some sort of special technique to be able to do it.

There are a lot of people willing to stumble or digg for exchange or even for free, not to mention the actual people who do it just because they think the link is good.

They don't hurt but some people overestimate their importance. In conjunction, sending out press releases in general with anchor text links can help get you wider distribution as well.

Yes, i used the same in the initial stage, it will help to get mass traffic.
