Well lets post the freewares that we use daily in this thread...
Smartbuster
http://www.rovatronic.net/Screenshots/files/page1-1010-full.jpg
Description:Smart Buster is a unique, compact, simple, user friendly little application that combines an uninstaller, a task manager, a file splitter, a disk space manager,a super fast floppy disk formatter(maybe the fastest) and a file wiper.
All you have to do is select a category, choose what you want to "bust" and then press the BUST button (X) and you're done!
Using SmartBuster it's very easy to uninstall programs (as many as you want at once),close windows or programs that are not responding, view the space occupied by every folder on your hard disk, split a large file in to smaller pieces (to fit on floppies or CD-s) and you can delete a file for ever(no possibility to recover it!)

i would appreciate if all follow the same pattern i.e, Software name followed by description and download page link..if possible give the screen shots too...
and please try to post the freewares which you have used...
Will update this thread regularly .....:)
I hope this will be made sticky...

Virtual Drive Creator 2.1.4
http://img402.imageshack.us/img402/2728/virtualdrivecreator1580oe4.th.png (http://img402.imageshack.us/img402/2728/virtualdrivecreator1580oe4.png)
Create Virtual Drives from long paths, itīs easy! Type the full path or (even easier) browse to the path via the Drive and Folder Lists. Turn long paths into letters with Virtual Drive Creator !
Choose a drive letter from the "Available Virtual Drive Letters" list and Click [Add Virtual Drive] to create the Virtual Drive, or Double Click the letter to create the Virtual Drive.
Itīs just as easy to remove a Virtual Drive, Double Click the letter you want removed as a Virtual Drive or Click the letter and then Click [Remove Virtual Drive].
Make CD-ROMs obsolete: Copy the contents of a CD-ROM to a folder, not the root directory, on your Hard Drive. Make that folder a Virtual Drive (see paragraph above), then install the Virtual CD from the Virtual Drive letter.
Click Start, Run and in the space provided type L:setup or L:install (substitute your Virtual Drive letter for L and see the documentation that came with your CD-ROM for the proper installation command).
Now every time you need to access the CD you can use the Virtual CD from your hard drive. Be sure to make note of the Virtual Drive letter you used to create the Virtual CD, when you reboot your computer you will need to re-create the Virtual Drive using the same letter. (With the Pro Version of Virtual Drive Creator you can make your Virtual Drives Permanent!)
Virtual Drive Creator (VDC) performs the DOS SUBST command from within Windows. This allows you to use a drive letter to specify a complete directory path (d:foldersub1sub2etc).

I have been using this CCleaner for so long and is very much efficient in ite work
Specifications>>
Talking about it's features first comes its feature of cleaning the Temporary internet files and the cookies which takes a lot of space and even slow up the PC. This can be automated to clean the Browser history, Url history, Prefetch Files and also te cookies which generally stores in your PC if you are frequent internet user. Even all the browser have this settings but then you have to mannualy perform those deletion. But the CCleaner can be changed for it's settings to automate all of them. Being easy to configure, taking up less time and being light on memory usage its the most trusted one. All the deletion performed by it is also a very nuch secure keeping the system free from any useful file deletion.
Next important feature of it is Registry Cleaner which incorporates this software. The Registry Cleaner is the one which cleans the System Registry for any flaws or useless Registry entry which might be present. The cleaner is very helpful in Registry Cleaning and helps us to delete the keys which are of no use or which has been left over by the softwares during uninstallation. There is also an option to Backup your Registry before you confirm it to go for Registry cleaning making it safe to handle the registry.
One more important feature of it comes the support of cleaning many left over files of the popular applications like Google Toolbar, winrar, Nero, Adobe Acrobat Reader, Media Player, eMule etc. Their setting files and many unused files are securely being deleted by it.

ImgBurn 2.4.0.0
http://img411.imageshack.us/img411/2020/632imgburn22367b8qp4.th.png (http://img411.imageshack.us/img411/2020/632imgburn22367b8qp4.png)
ImgBurn carries on from where DVD Decrypter left off! (Well, for the burning part anyway!)
ImgBurn can write most types of CD / DVD images and it supports all the latest writers (including booktype / bitsetting on many of the major ones - i.e. BenQ, LiteOn, NEC, Plextor, Sony). You can even use ImgBurn to erase / format your rewritable media!
ImgBurn will try its very best to burn your DVD-Video double layer images using the layer break you've specified in the IFO files, but it can also calculate the best place for you, to save you the trouble.
Advanced functionality can be found in context menus that appear when you right click on various bits of the user interface. Can you find them all??!!
