Windows XP or Vista...!!!!

Want to know that, how many members here are using windows XP or Vista....and post urs valuable comments over here about urs experience in working with both the windows....


how are both compared ??? and howz yours comfort in working with which O.S...XP or VISTA...


:P :P XP is a perfect OS that caters all the essential features one would need. What more, it is flexible with users to install any kind of software.

Neither XP nor Vista is open source..........
So, Moved to Softwares Zone.

Vista is really better than XP, but need a decent hardware configuration for best vista experience.

Vista is an upgraded version of XP.But I prefer XP because I have been using it for 3 years now and I was happy with it

vista is meant for current generation hardware..so if you are using anything than 3 yr old hw better off from vista
vista also requires pretty much hefty hw requirements such as direct9 gpu and > a gb ram
vista is more stable than xp ....tell me how many times you saw the error reporting dialog box in vista as against xp
vista runnes marginally slower than xp..but the difference is negligible with proper drivers and hardware
agree vista isnt meant for every system
vista can run most programs if at all not each & every program in the world

vista is not better than xp in most... but better in terms of security and UI.and 99% of apps meant for xp runs on vista.
so overall vista isnt the worst..but @ the same time not the best. :D

I think as many as 90% of the PC users use Microsoft windows products. it easy to use and you can get your work done with any hassles and more over its very user friendly.

I prefer xp on actually pc but when i will buy anither one.. i will put vista on it !

I use Windows XP For Gaming and Vista for all the work - animation,programming,image editing,web designing,surfing the net, downloading etc etc....I like Vista's GUI its simple awesome...
Eagerly waiting for Windows 7.

Even I prefer XP, just can't get used to all the transparency and stupid drop down window animation and all.. Jst can't. I know they can be turned off but I prefer Vista. Maybe coz am used to it.. Got Vista laptop, its nice but nothing great.

XP is definitely the old veteran by now & Vista is the new kid on the block
I bought original Vista when it was released, it delivered an abysmal performance with games. The video card drivers weren’t tweaked. Games in Vista were horrible and so i reverted back to XP to satisfy my gaming needs.
I love XP .Vista can catch up with XP’s great performance, never catch on for gamers.

i found Vista very annoying, may be because i am so used and addictive to XP. and when i read that the beta version of Vista is giving problems i shifted back to XP again. since then i have not tried to change it.

I like Windows XP, but Vista would be great if it didn't use up so much memory. Also if more people use vista it's compatiblity with most programs would go up. So for now I'm using XP, but soon they will be outdated and we'll have to switch to some other operating system.

Thinking of the future, Vista is better than XP. XP though have more compatibility but the 64 bit platform is much better in Vista.

All you need to do is understand Vista, just bragging about a 8 year old OS is not a very innovative idea. Vista had its bad days but then which OS didnt ?

My Operating System since the Windows 7 wasn't in, is the Windows 7 black edition. I never use Vista because of some bad features of it.

Ive been using XP for my desktop pc and Win7 for my laptop. I prefer XP than vista coz i have not tried using vista yet.
