Openoffice really high level software package, which can do all tasks related to office works including writing documents, creating spreadsheets, preparing presentations, creating databases, etc. I see no significant difference from expensive MS Office package. So far all tasks can be done with Opensource. The only thing I have noticed is that it runs bit slower in older computers. I would say Home users do not need MS office for simple tasks like document writing. How about you - do you use OpenOffice or you prefer to stick with MS Office?

I use MS office package instead of open office. I feel there are much more options and its very easy to use and learn. It is very user friendly.
