I've noticed that the majority of people who frequently burn CD's or DVD's use either Nero or Roxio Burning Studio, and I did until recently.
I was getting annoyed with Nero for being slow and generally being bloatware, way too many features that noone would ever use taking up too much disk space. Roxio is much the same, a massive installation size.
I got a recommendation from a friend who writes for a tech blog to use the program 'Ashampoo Burning Studio 7'.
Ashampoo's website can be found at http://www.ashampoo.com, and it's worth a visit. Their software provides similar functionality to the more expensive commercial alternatives, and it's pretty cheap. I'm impressed, I gotta say.
