Nowadays we see a lot of hard disk on computer shop. Mostly the market that we see is Seagate and Western Digital. Which is the best and stable can use more than 5 years? Let me know is any other hard disk come out on the market now.

Well i somehow prefer seagate.
Have bought three drives so far.
First 20GB seagate only lasted 3.5 yrs.
Now using a 80GB HDD, also bought a 750GB HDD for my new rig...

Using two PATA Seagate HDDs from last 4 years, no frills till now. So I suggest Seagate, but I heard that WD replaces their faulty drive by sending a new drive to customer's home. That is good to hear but still I prefer a good, long-lasting HDD that would to wear out so easily. No point of replacements when the drive is good.

Check the new Seagate 7200.12 drives. They offer much better Data Transfer rates, in the tune of 115MBps. People even compare them to WD Raptors and they dont cost a bomb.
