In today's India, we live in an age of growing decadence, corruption and apathy. Each of us have felt the same frustration when we witness how ineffectual and flawed our political system is, and how little the government does to protect the interests of the common man. In this time of relentless greed and socio-cultural upheaval, that is the one thing that every Indian has in common.
That is what unites us - the struggle we each endure to try and be heard, the battle we fight every day to have those in power sit up and take note of our opinions and beliefs.
At Project India, we are dedicated to giving voices to the voiceless. Project India is the first web based community in India designed specifically to give ordinary citizens the chance to voice their opinion in a public forum without fear of reprisal or censorship.
It is our goal to create an open, free, and impartial platform where people of diverse backgrounds regardless of age, class or income group, can come together with those who share the same interests and are concerned with the same social issues to interact socially and try and implement change in contemporary Indian society.
Now, using the power of the Internet, each of you can form action groups to discuss and fight for the causes that you believe in. All you have to do is register on the site, and establish your own Action Group and invite your fellow Indian friends and citizens to join as members - or join an existing action group and become part of a movement.
Remember, as Edmund Burke said, All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing. Join Project India now, and you can start to make a difference.
