Not really , i will not agree with the statement above. First of all yahoo aint even that good i much rather prefer to have gmail and hotmail, they are easier to use and they dont take that much time to make you even get more mail box.

Microsoft MSN might be ahead. Don't trust alexa ranking they suck.
It might also be all nationalities, not just one country like USA or Canada. I think most people in China use Yahoo because theres a chinese version of it. That's why Alexa shows its no 1

in term of mail service i think it good as and if you are talking about chat services then it the best to chat with your friend in it but the chatroom in yahoo are just fill with fake bots trying to sell product or advertising or spreading virus
